I've given up on redworms/red wigglers/ composting worms ...... both my worm bins went TU this summer ..... the compost turned to paste, regardless of the fact that I didn't even add any water, when I dumped both bins on the compost pile for the Fall, I had about a dozen worms between the two bins ...... what a waste of time and money ..... I should have had at least the 1500 worms I bought, but ended up with none! I'm thinkin' our summers are too hot for them ........ I'll probably try Mealworms next year, I still haven't found a place to buy live Tubifex Worms, they used to be my fave for feeding to fish, but that was 30-odd years ago ...... now they are out of fashion, I guess - all I can buy is dried ones, which are almost worthless .

If you guys need some worm starters, send me a PM. I need to scale back for the winter. I'll send you as much as I can cram into a flat rate box for the cost of postage. These would be redworms in worm dirt, castings and eggs.

Large flat rate boxes are 12X12X6 and cost $14
That is plenty to seed a worm bin.

I was thinking of putting a link to their site under "Suppliers" in the FAQ, so I emailed them for their OK .....
I just got a couple of emails back from these folks, here's one of those that will tell you their status ATM

NOTE TO ALL: Their website contains a lot of valuable information, don't hesitate to visit it and get a real good education in the process.

It's really early here but maybe it's just because I'm a little "SLOW" however his statement about "writing on the wall"..... I didn't understand that at all or what he was even trying to say...maybe it's just early
