Any idea how much smaller the "bottle" is? I talked to the carpenter here at work. He said I'd only get about 2.5" out of removing the door....so...i think 35.5" is the widest part of the door...so...that is the determining factor here....cut the tank down to 36" and wiggle it in?...can I use the bottle out of the cage?
i'm sure you could get an empty bottle through a standard door.. but you'll definitely need something to support it once it's inside..
if i had the "ideal" situation, i'd have a large wood fish tank, and use IBC's cut in half for growbeds
maybe I'll cut a few inches off the cage top and move it in in two pieces...cage...and bottle...that way most of the bottle is supported by original cage. Only the top few inches...which ideally won't have water weight on it...will not have support from the cage.
Off to buy an IBC tomorrow....see what you've started....
