I have two system setups... just a first draft in planning. Any oversights or problems you see?

I'm trying to make my system using existing parts. I can make the wooden stands using 2x4's, so that can be customizable. I'm also flexible with the tanks, but I have a 75G, 20G and plenty of rubbermaids storage bins available.

I realize I'm not the best artist or anything... Still trying to figure out Google Sketchup.

Anyway, the biggest problem I see might be the plants being on the floor level. The reason I was aiming for this was because it makes it easier to siphon out fish poop (don't worry, I think there will still be plenty, I just need to make sure I can keep it at a manageable level to keep my fish healthy).

I do realize that tanks have to be at a certain height for the overflow to work effectively in draining through the system. Since this was a draft, I let the specifics slide as I'm still on the concept phase of planning.

I don't mind using more than one pump and float valves, but I want to keep it simple too... and cheap.

I also want to be more fish-centric. I'm treating the hydroponics part of my system as a secondary filter and 'by-product'. At least for now... once I get the hang of it, I might build a system that can handle more vegetables.

I would appreciate feedback, comments, criticism, concerns, whatever... Thanks in advance!
