    duckweed

hi, This is my first post to this site and hello to everyone. I live in plantation fl and started a small aquaponics system in my backyard. I am following Murray Hallams systems from australia. I want to raise blue talapia for food for personal use. Does anyone know where I can get duckweed? Here in plantation they spray the lakes and ponds to kill it so i cannot find it here. Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    John Mark

    Welcome duckweed... i mean John!

    I, too, am in Florida.

EDIT: I forgot to say, I always go down to my local park. Any one of them. They all spray, but you can't beat nature. Check near the banks where there are logs or areas of very slow moving or still water. They're always there somewhere.

Check some of the farm ponds. Also any fish farmer. There are lots of tropical fish farms in your area. None spray for fear of harming their fish.

I have loads. If you can't find any locally, PM me.
