    As long as the bubbles travel through the water after the bio filter there should still be some o2 getting into the water. I've been meaning to try a baffled box to slow down the bubbles to give them more time to exchange o2.

    Duff-
    Intensive tilapia culture requires near saturation levels of oxygen. Warmer temps needed for them also needs to drive mre oxygen into the water as the warmer the water is, the less oxy it holds. Probably not needed for other species.

    Little guy is a Golden Perch and has already been moved to another tank. George kept sizing him up. Cod have realy big mouths. A fishing mate told me he caught a cod with a carp half its size in its gut and it still took the lure. They even eat mussels and turtles and bring up the shells after their stomachs dissolve the flesh.
