    Effects of PH

This chart shows how different levels of PH, effect a plant's ability to use a given mineral/nutrient.
I got this from 'Castaway', from another forum.....Thank's Frank !

so, ........ it looks to me that if your plants want to utilize the nitrogen, iron, zinc, and copper you need to raise the PH to 9 0r 10 ..... am I reading this thing right? My PH was always 8.5, I couldn't bring it down ..... but I was always told that I needed more iron because the leaves were yellowing (amongst many other things )

    Re: Effects of PH

just below 7 is best....it's a compromise between what the plants and fish want.

Check out the graph for iron.....below 7, gives the plants more 'access', to what iron is there.....more 'green'...

Watch the fish. Tilapia are very forgiving, but other fish not so much.
