    Katuk

Anyone experimented with Katuk as a feed for Tilapia? I have quite a bit of Katuk growing around my place. We steam the growing tips like asparagus and love it. I recently hung a couple of branches over the edge of one of my tanks and the Tilapia striped the leaves off and ate it like candy.

One website says the nutrients in Katuk are In 100 g (half cup) of leaves the nutritional content is as follows: energy 59 cal, 6.4 g protein, 1.0 g fat, 9.9 g carbohydrate, 1.5 g fiber, 1.7 g ash, 233 mg calcium, phosphorus 98 mg, 3.5 mg iron, carotene 10,020 mcg (vitamin A), B, and C 164 mg, and 81 g water.
A research study with highly processed extracts of Katuk ( DOI: 10.1016/j.fsi.2013.11.011 ) said it improved the immune responses.
