    Floating Duckweed Raft

Check out the building steps for the Floating Duckweed Raft on my main site "Pipe Siphon by Apollo" at or near the bottom of page 4. Lots of other uses; tank for smaller fish or other plant life, etc..

    Re: Floating Duskweed Raft

Well, I got the raft built and have been waiting to get some free duckweed from a friend for about two week. Got tired of waiting...found a place on line to buy a 1/4 of a cup for $10. Not a bad price, it even includes the shipping...it would have cost me more in gas to pick up the free duckweed.

    Re: Floating Duckweed Raft

Duckweed in my floating raft wasn't growing as good as before, so I started scooping it out putting it into the breeding tank with the other duckweed. I needed to clean the raft out before transferring the duckweed back into the floating raft.

I found one of my large Pink Tilapias living in the raft...fish looked very well feed. I will add some additional PVC air lock tubing to the bottom of the raft to make it sit higher in the main tank.

There's nothing better than living in the kitchen. I'd weigh 300lbs if I didn't have to leave the table to do other things.
