    Central Florida Talipia Purchasing

Where in the Central Florida area can I purchase Talipia Fry or Fingerlings? I just finished up my main tank and have the water circulating. I've taken the water from the first tank and moved it into the main tank so they should be OK. So far the goldfish has been in there for 2 days with no bellyups.

Hi Bob, You might try Morning Star Fishermen. They are located near Dade city. It's a little bit of a drive, but you might get a tour of thier system too.

If you want to try catfish or bream, check out Central Fish Farms.

Tha's Mr Sanchez. He used to live in the Orlando area. Now he lives near Brooksville FL.

Remeber to get 'blue tilapia'. Otherwise you'll need a permit.

Where my buddy lives in the fl panhandle, he has to have a permit, no matter which talpia he wants to raise. I think he said it was $100 (?)
That's why he's going with bream...he can buy lots of them for $100.
Plus, he doesn't want the cost $$$ of keeping the water warm enough for tilapia.
