going to bigger system ( first drawing of the idea )

hey guys my gamily has an unused building ( which is in a pretty bad shape ) and was thinking to make something out of it
so this building has a nice little garden next to it and i think itll be great to start a system there

here are some pics i drew ( ill take some pictures when i take my camera there )
note : images were too big to post as img ( if you know how to resize please tell me

so the main idea is to make some kind of a pool for the fish tank and use a shelf system for the growbeds

thu im still searching for data on the technical stuff ( filters pumps positioning and what not )

i would like to receive feed back and tips , links of any kind you think it may be of any use

this is going to add up alot to the aquaponic field in israel and especially in my city (haifa ) and would be a cool thing to show off in the aquaponics community world wide ,and proving that you can make food in the middle of a highly populated urban area

http://goo.gl/maps/aR7GY this is the building itself ( you cant see the actual garden its where the trees at ) but you can see the outer garden and the other "rooms" to expand if it all goes well

Re: going to bigger system ( first drawing of the idea )

    concerns and thoughts :

1- im thinking of using some sort of vortex filter ( i think im going to use a water cooler type container like this

since its easier than the barrel with the concrete and the cone and all that ( ill think of a way to make it bigger ) )

2- and also im thinking of using a beads filter ( itll enable me to use less gravel/hydroton / whatever ill use in the growbeds and reduce the weight )
3-im a bit unsure about how the sump thing actually works so i would like some one give me a simple explanation for that
4- positioning : well i was thinking to put the vortex filter and the beads filter on the right (where is says "where the good stuff going to be " and leave the sump under the grow beds
or reverse it ( beeing the sump on the right side and the filters under the grow beds
other than that feel free to share your thoughts and tips or anything you think will be helpful
    thanks ...
ill keep this updated with pics and everything that goes on this project

Re: going to bigger system ( first drawing of the idea )

I went on Google and found these. Check them out and at least one of them should solve your problem:-

I have not tried any of these so I do not guarantee them to do the job. If they don't then do a google search until you can find one that will work. Links to your photos are OK on this forum, however it is unlikely that very many members will click on them to view your photos to be able to follow your progress and help you with questions.
