My name is Carl aka DEUCE and I live in Los Angeles, CA.

A buddy of mine is a "prepper" and while searching a few of his recommended sites I came across Aquaponics and instantly became enthralled. Ironically my wife and I have talked about starting a vegetable/fruit garden in the backyard but I do believe our plans have just changed.

I've looked through many posts and have gained a substantial amount of knowledge and have the confidence in building a media filled Ebb & Flow style system. I still need to research the type of fish to raise which will be hearty and tasty.

I look forward to learning more and sharing my experiences.

I have a 50gal HDPE retangular tank.........




along with two 22gal HDPE round tanks for my beds.


I have decided on Tilapia and found that the Mossies, Hornorum and Red Bellies are legal in my town.
