Whats your favorite Swiss Chard recipe?

I hear it tastes great but I've never actually tried it before so this'll be a first.

Can you just harvest the outside leaves and let the plant keep producing more from the center or does it just stop producing after a certain period of time?

When you find out, tell me! I have some growing too. I've sort of just planned to pick off a leaf here and there and add it to my salad mix.

    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1 onion, diced
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    2 cups uncooked quinoa, rinsed
    1 cup canned lentils, rinsed
    8 ounces fresh mushrooms, chopped
    1 quart vegetable broth
1 bunch Swiss chard, stems removed
saute onion for 5 minutes, add everything but chard and simmer for 20 minutes. shred chard and add, ready when wilted. I used rainbow chard for it but just the same. Also used some leaves raw in salad and on sandwiches.
People cry because they are sad. For example, I cry because other people are stupid, and that makes me sad.

Great recipe, I'll definitely try it.

BSFman, it won't be long now... I think it's about ready.

They're pretty tasty. I ended up trying a simpler recipe to get started.

    Ingredients

    1 bunch Swiss chard
    1 cup water
    1 tablespoon salt
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    4 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
    salt to taste

    Directions

Wash the Swiss chard and cut into 1 inch strips. Separate the thick and tough stalk sections from the upper leafy strips.
Bring the water and 1 tablespoon of salt to a boil in a large saucepan.

Cook the stalk sections in the salted boiling water for 2 minutes. Stir in the leafy strips and cook until the leaves are wilted and the stalks are fork tender, about 6 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Heat the olive oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes in a large skillet over medium heat until aromatic, about 3 minutes. Add the drained Swiss chard, cook and stir for 2 minutes; season with salt to taste.

They're also good to add to noodle soup. Just don't boil for more than a few minutes.

Heh heh this would be more like lunch. So what's your favorite swiss chard recipe? To me, they taste a bit like spinach.
