    NC Rockuaponics

    Yep, That is what I call my system and anything I do with it. I came up with that name after searching the interwebs for similar names. I also chose it because I am using river rocks as my grow medium.
    Here is the setup in its infancy.

    Nice starter system, I live in NC also. I'm working on my first tote and have a barrel starter system I going to use as a donor for my tote. I agree with the swirl filter idea, did you every complete it.

    ICEuaponics! Brrrrrr its cold

    So it froze the other day before the "vortex" came south.

    In the end it turned out ok for that cold round.

    Yesterday, I decided it would be wise to use plastic to help insulate the system because I don't have a greenhouse around it.

    Not over the past couple of really cold days.

    Although I keep my solids filter covered with a black plastic bag because it is clear, plastic and filled with poopy nutrients!
