Not familiar with the auto siphon. Is it better/worse than the bell siphon?

it's pretty much just an external "loop" siphon.. these are reliable and making it external frees up the space in the gb..

But which is better? And why? Seems there's different ways of doing things all over. Curious to know the benefits of one vs the other.

i don't really know if one is better than the other.. i know that external loop siphons are not as dependend on the flow rate that an affnan siphon is (for starting and stopping the siphon) - but i've also read about systems that have had affnans running for a long time with no issues..

the external sypon allows you to use one sypon for all the grow beds and they all flood to the same level and drain at the same rate.neither is better or worse they both do the same thing... external just somthing i saw on youtube.. thanks to Affann's aquaponics.. Works great and its easy to adjust the water level .. check it out.
