    We got a bug!

    I have bugs in my garage that are eating my nice tender new foliage. I see Mosquitoes and a few crane files, but I am not sure they will eat my lettuce. How can I go about getting rid of them?

    Ideas please!

    i wasn't sure about the "crane fly" but found this;
    "Despite their common names, as adults, crane flies do not prey on mosquitoes, nor do they bite humans. Some larval crane flies are predatory and may eat mosquito larvae.[2] Adult crane flies feed on nectar or they do not feed at all. Once they become adults, most crane fly species exist as adults only to mate and die. Their larvae, called "leatherjackets", "leatherbacks", "leatherback bugs" or "leatherjacket slugs", because of the way they move, consume roots (such as those of turf grass) and other vegetation, in some cases causing damage to plants"

    occasionally flooding your growbeds may bring the larvae to the surface, and feed to the fish, if that doesn't work, i'd try Bacillus thuringiensis (or Bt) or diatomaceous earth - both are "fish safe"
    you may end up with mosquito larvae in your tanks, more free fish food

    Where do you get or buy Bacillus thuringiensis?

    And diatomaceous earth, do you just dust that one?
