i've been thinking about building a tank, but the pool seems to be holding water, with "test" minnows doing ok, so i just need to build growbeds

I think I would just look into buying a stock tank (like one of the rubber maid stock tanks) instead of trying to build a 200gallon tank.

Look for I.B.Cs on Craig’s list. I’ve seen them for 125$ 275 gallons I think.

+1 I forgot to mention that lol...you got it covered though stucco

Where are you located? Depending you might be able to find some cheaper. I am in NC and I picked up some I.B.Cs for 20 bucks a piece. They need some cleaning to get rid of the old vegetable oil but that was a good price

Also you might think your saving money when you build the wooden tank but after you add the price of the wood, liner, your labor you would come out much better doing as stucco advised.

looked into IBC's....won't fit through my door  I only have a 35" door and the space I have reserved is 44x44x whatever height...

I am in Massachusetts. I did find a place that has IBC's for $100 that had wood pulp or corn starch in them. These will be utilized in the summer when I can have them outside. I have a larger biofilter that will be used to run a couple of them.

you can always pre-cut your IBC(s) before bringing them in.. that's my plan if and when i find some

Does anyone have the exact measurements on an IBC in inches? This might be the route I take....
