For the brine shrimp:
1. where do you get the salt water algae?
2. how long does it take for them to get to maturity?
3. do they carry the eggs like a cray, or what?
Moina: You can catch them in small ponds, but I buy mine on aquabid. Dalus Discus is a seller I've gotten good service from. Green water will show up spontaneously, but if someone sends you a start, it is easier. Moina reach sexual maturity in 4 days and give birth to live young. If conditions get bad, males are produced and after mating they produce eggs and die.

Brine Shrimp: again, green water will occur spontaneously, but it is better if someone sends you a start. It take about a week or two for them to reach sexual maturity. Under good conditions they produce live young. When things get bad they lay eggs. Under good conditions the females will produce 50 or more offspring a day for months.
