Hello,

In the market for a couple IBC tanks and have a couple questions.

Found several local sources and several price ranges that go along with that.

my question is

I would think any IBC that had a food product would be safe with a good rinse and clean. Have found a couple suppliers that have tanks that had a water based stone sealer, since it is water based I would think a similar cleaning would work, am I wrong?

I would imagine that staying away from any of them that had some form of chemical would be a good idea.

guess what I am looking for is some guidelines of what to stay away from and what could be cleaned up.

I have seen a post or two that said if it will grow alge (sp?) it will be fine for fish, Is that correct.

I know I could put some cheap gold fish in and give that a test, but would like to pick the rite ones to begin with.

Thanks
John

Go with the ones that are food based and leave the others

I prefer not to risk it, but if you can find someone you trust then it's a good way to go for smaller systems.
