I just might! I sat through some of these exact lectures by these guys/gals already at the last district Master Gardener conference, but if y'all are going then I will too!

TAKE A LOOK AT THEIR DEMO GARDEN. HYDROPONIC RAFT SYSTEM, NO AERATION.

These would be key persons to ask about aquaponics:
Dr. Richard Tyson
Dr. Danielle Treadwell

Also, Dr. Tyson said Bob Hochmuth is one of the most knowledgeable around on hydroponics in general.

David, ASK Dr. Tyson about the gentleman that is growing and selling the edible flowers. He can definitely give you some good information on this.

AW, it's $15 come on JCO! I am car pooling or hitching a ride if any of the other Master Gardener's are going... but yea, I can't afford Stucco's workshop though... so, I understand :(

I want to try an experiment with 2 small (raft) hydro set ups, when it cools down again. Getting pretty hot for lettuces now. It'll be interesting to do a side by side test.

Usually, they don't ask us to volunteer at Orange County, but I'm sure if they were desperate enough they would ask me to work there! :lol:

The demo garden will be on your right when you are walking up to the facility. You can't miss it.

No, those 2 folks WILL be speaking there. So, BRING YOUR QUESTIONS!!! To my knowledge, these are the only 2 folks who have been involved in research in aquaponics at the University of Florida!
