In order to spend a 'million dollars', it would take 31 years.
In order to spend a 'trillion dollars', it would take 31,688 years.

you folks just don't understand the new math. 1+1 equals whatever you want it to represent, you are no longer limited to the total of 2, you have been liberated from the constraints of reality. washington will sprinkle a little magic dust (also known as BS) on the national debt and it will disappear.

Good catch phivtoosyx. I meant to write a billion, not a million. The guys and gals in Washington 'never' use such small numbers as a million.... :roll:

A billion, would take just over 31 years.

A trilliion would take 31,546 years

If you spend $100,000 a year, it takes 10,000 years to spend a billion and 10 million years to spend a trillion.
We are spending about 4 trillion a year more than we take in and owe nearly 14 trillion. This is nuts.
