Welcome
If you are looking cheap then you are going to have to get creative ,and then the question How Big ? I am a bit down the road ,Lake Travis ,from you but there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity in the CenTex area . A few up by DFW and some down by Houston . On the cheap there are a lot of barrels ,totes and kiddie pools around and lots of things that could be creatively converted .Just make sure it's nothing that will leach out and affect you or your fish . My big system is 1500g FT and my small one is 180g FT . Still working out temp related bugs on the bigger one and am working on a sump and GB for the small one .

welcome, i completely missed the cheap part no matter how hard i tried. it's always a compromise isn't it?

in '69-'70 i built a bunch of cabinets and trimmed a few houses in Killeen which has absolutely nothing to do with this. :)

check with your local DEA about hydroponics drug busts. cannibus is the power behind hydroponics advancments in technology, if it wasn't for pot hydroponics would still be in the dark ages. i picked up most of my stuff at ten cents on the dollar when a grower got busted a couple of months ago in san jose, ca.

good luck with your plans. hit up a couple of hydroponics stores to see whats the newest and greatest.

here's a link to an auction site for the police.....

http://www.propertyroom.com/

In the categories...start in 'everything else'...then you'll find 'home and garden'.
The sales are from all over the USA.....if your near a large city, you can buy from there, to save shipping.

I see 'down under' they often use old bathtubs for fish tanks and grow beds. Build a simple base around them....they actually look pretty good.
