Hello Everyone,

I wanted to stop in and say hello. I found this site the other night and registered immediately. My wife has finally started to share my interest of growing our own vegetables. I have no current set up right now, but have plans for one this winter which is what brought me here. Plans are tilapia in a 300g stock tank. Pump up to the crop and let it flood and drip back to the tank. I'm still in the research and info gathering stages for raising the tilapia, but am hoping to be operational in a month or so.

Thanks for having me,

Steve.

Welcome to the forum Steve. Check out wolfracers system if you are in the planning stage. He is in the same type of climate as you and has a killer system. Good luck, jon

Thanks for the warm reception. I just got home from running some errands and am about to take the tank down to the basement. From there I'll start measuring and putting together a material list. I'm hoping to do this as cheap as possible.

Thanks again everyone. My wife and I watched Food Inc. last night and she is totally on board now. I've been wanting to do something like this for quite some time, but it's much easier to achieve when you have the support of your spouse.

You're not kidding! Mine said I could do it, but I couldn't buy the fish... I had to calmly explain to her that was a critical step in growing lots of FREE food... LOL, I kid I kid
