I 've just started into aquaponics a month ago, I have a 600 gallon pond with gold fish and running a flood and drain system with PVC vinyl post. I've been doing alot of reading that my head is ready to explode.. :D ...but is all good. I am glad I found this forum with alot of info for me to get started. My goal is to run a system with blue tilapias if I can find a place to buy them in Orlando or close by please let me know..... ;)

Howdy samtheman, we are in Palm Bay about an hour from Orlando. If you can’t find Blues in your area-I can get you fingerlings. Also, there is Morningstar Fisherman in Dade City. You are welcome to come do a tour of our place- just pm me. Also, we are going to be hosting a DIY workshop soon for AP and Worm Wicking Gardens- probably the first weekend in October. We haven’t set the final date, but if you are interested let me know and I will keep you informed.

Hi samtheman, if your just looking for a few, I might be able to help you. I live just south of you...in St Cloud.

If your looking for a lot...... like Stucco said, go to Morningstar Fishermen. They don't cost much there, plus, you may even get a 'tour' while your there. They seem like nice people... :D

I've heard others say, most commercial places in Fl won't sell to you if you don't have a licenses....Morningstar will.

I'm hoping to get over to Stucco's for the workshop. Maybe we'll all meet there... :D

Hi samtheman:

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you here! Questions are always welcome, don't be too skeeered to ask, we don't bite (well, maybe one or two of us, but not all of us   ) We love questions, and we especially love photos ;) Please be sure to put where you live in your profile so we know what part of the country/hemisphere/planet you are in ..... someone who lives nearby may be able to help you out personally as well.

We have a great FAQ (http://diyaquaponics.com/forum/faq.php) button for navigating the website controls, etc. at the top of the page, next to the "Members" button, please check it out if you haven't already done so.
We also have another FAQ (http://diyaquaponics.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=93) section which contains many of the hints and tips that have been collected along the way ..........

Before posting any URLs or emails, please take a look at the Forum Rules (http://diyaquaponics.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=103) .....
If you see something that you would like added to these FAQs, please let a moderator or admin know, and we'll discuss it and possibly add it to the list!

BTW, we have a special section for off-topic conversations called "The Sump" (http://diyaquaponics.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=102) to hopefully avoid crapping threads and keeping things on topic ;)

Once again, WELCOME TO THE FORUM :!: :!:

I just wanted to say HELLO!

I have found this forum to be a cornucopia of knowledge. The members here are friendly and wise! Your stay will be a pleasant one, WELCOME.

There are a lot of us Floridians on this forum, and I think a good number of us in Central Florida. We should start some kind of group or food co-op. Just an idea :D
