in searching for a forum on bioponics, i came across this forum.
i have alway used the runoff from aquariums (had a commercial discus hatchery, used the water for in-ground roses) and from worm boxes.
And i have also always used plants for biological filtration. In my KOI pond and "creek" Taro is use to assimulate the ammonia. Taro's useage of nutrients in the KOI water pretty much eliminates the algae.
I have made and used compost tea, tho not in an aerated, mechanized vat as some do.
I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing new concepts. hope i can contribute to the forum.
I have a greenhouse with orchids. And outdoors i have bonsai trees, roses in ground, many cacti in NM and a few in CA. I enjoy all of it.
