I just got a food dryer for my birthday. I'm having a blast with it. The one I have is a FD-75PR Nesco Professional sold at Walmart. I just ordered extra trays and a Jerky Shooter. It can handle up to 12 tray for 6 square feed of drying area. Now when I have a glut of fish, I can dry it. I've made up a large batch of chicken Jerky and it works great!

This is a heated model with a blower and a thermostat so you can actually slow-cook at 160F. Works for fruit too. This thing is really cool!

We use ours and have for hmmmmm 25 years or so . Never thought of dried fish . I have done jerkey we do a lot of fruit ,pineapple dried is like candy and its insane how many bannanas or apples fit in a qt mason jar . The best thing is I have opened sealed jars after a couple years and the stuff is still good . Have some fun with it but remember keep everything you do sealed or the air will start to rehydrate it ,soggy is not so good for some things .
