This chart shows how different levels of PH, effect a plant's ability to use a given mineral/nutrient.
I got this from 'Castaway', from another forum.....Thank's Frank !

so, ........ it looks to me that if your plants want to utilize the nitrogen, iron, zinc, and copper you need to raise the PH to 9 0r 10 ..... am I reading this thing right? My PH was always 8.5, I couldn't bring it down ..... but I was always told that I needed more iron because the leaves were yellowing (amongst many other things :( )

just below 7 is best....it's a compromise between what the plants and fish want.

Check out the graph for iron.....below 7, gives the plants more 'access', to what iron is there.....more 'green'... :D

Watch the fish. Tilapia are very forgiving, but other fish not so much.
