Howdy

I decided to join after spending the last week or so reading many helpful posts. I am about to "inherit" a 20 acre farm and have been pondering over the last couple months what it is I am going to do with it.

Part of that research has led me here.

I have a perfect area that I plan on putting up a couple greenhouses, and may dedicate a small one to aquaponics. (30 by 30??)

Before I take the leap, I will spend the next couple months researching, crunching numbers, and considering every aspect I can.

thanks
david

Welcome to the forum. Just in case you have not read it elsewhere on this forum, Aquaponics is addictive. There is no shot, no cure and once you've contracted it, it will be with you the rest of your life.

There may be spells where it subsides for a while, but it always comes back so sit back and enjoy it for what it is, a way of life.

Again, welcome to the addition.

Thanks JCO

I'll keep that a secret. The last thing my wife wants to hear is that I have yet another addicting hobby/occupation. :)

welcome to the group...
I got to say that I am a little jealous. I wish I had some land to "play" with... :D
It sounds like you are doing two things right .... researching and not telling the wife
keep learning and let us know what your ideas and questions are.
Look forward to reading and seeing your progress through this addiction of ours

Welcome and success! 20 acre farm - wow! Is this a commercial endeavor?

Hello David. What part of western Pennsyltucky are you in? My Dad just bought 11 acres a little south of Erie. He also uses the name Pennsyltucky. Welcome and I wish you well on your new adventure! :)
