Hi, I am wgollie43, kk4cbh for you hams. we started survival preparedness baout 1 year ago. we have .38 acres living in a bedroom community outside of Memphis. We have a large garden, green house 10 x 36 x 8, 2 apple trees, peach tree, pear tree, and chickens. We grow food one way or the other year round. We have a rule of thumb, if you can buy it in the store, we can can it.

I have 6 320gal totes. 3 are used for gathering rain water that we use on the gardens. 2 is used for potable water. The 6th I plan on using to raising catfish. Will eventually drill what is called a wet drilling method for water.

So why I am here in this forum, to learn as much I can about raising fish.

Welcome to the forum...
Sounds like you already have a pretty green thumb.
Would love to see some pics of your home gardens...
Aquaponics is pretty addictive and fun...
Are you planning on building an aquaponics system?
Looking forward to your ideas, suggestions and input to the site.

Welcome to the forum.

It's strange you would mention raising edible fish, I just finished my "Crayfish in Aquaponics Guide Book" and was going to do one on Greenhouses, but decided about 10 hours ago to do one on "Edible Fish in Aquaponics Guide Book" instead.

It will take me about 3 to 4 weeks to do all the research and put it all together. Hope you can be patient enough to hang around until the release.

Nice welcome from you all. I am in the process of researching and looking at many different ways. It will probably be 30-45 days before I start the actual project. Once I start it I will try and post pictures here.
