I'm looking for a small pump to efficiently lift about 200 gph up 3'. I'd like to run it on a 200 watt solar system and a 105 ah battery. This means I'd need it to be around 50 watts max. Any suggestions?
It'd be 15 min on/off cycle.

Never mind... the Danner #3 Mag Drive does not restart reliably after we shut it off; ours runs non-stop.
(Sorry, you posted "It'd be 15 min on/off cycle." after I had replied about the pump)

Are you wanting to use a 12vdc pump? The ones I have found with the required flow, are significantly higher wattage.

You don't need 12vdc pump. I've got an inverter and a magnetic drive pump that pumps 365gph and it only draws .4 amps.

That should be doable. There will be some loss with the inverter. There are not 100% efficient.

True, but at .4 amps you have plenty of capacity.

That's perfect Roger. What pump are you running?

ECO396 is what I bought off of Amazon. Cost about $36 bucks I think.

I've been using a Laguna PT-350 Max Flo 2900 since March 2013 and it seems to be a great pump.

Cheapest price I could find was from Ebay plus ended up with 4 yr warr.
I paid $140 in Mar '13 so you might try making an offer.

This is one of the pumps I use and it has been dependable.

This pump sounds good and also affordable. But the water flow features are impressive and the electricity consumption is great, i think overall its a prefect pump (http://www.thepoolfactory.com/pool-supplies/pool-equipment/pumps) with enough warranty time period.
