Setting up a display including a GB with bell siphon, a raft system, drip system, and a matt system. These are all systems i have been using for 3-4 years now. Folks seldom get correct information at these stores. Some stores feel they won't make enough money off an aquaponics customer so aren't interested. Truth being the best equipment for aquaponics is available from a hydroponics store.

I don't see why they think we would not be a good customer base. I am always needing something else to improve or correct my system.

There use to be a hydroponics store here until the Law started busting patrons at their homes for growing some kind of Whacky Weed. Hurt business so bad, they closed.

Fortunately this isn't the case here since growers learn to shut up about their growing. The aquaponics will also be a plus for the store. Redirection of focus in patronage, a fair amount of interest in the area for aquaponics.

Roger it is not uncommon here for growers to drop down ten grand in cash at a time. I spend around a hundred or less at a time

If the "store" stops thinking about aquaponic customers as only wanting to buy aquaponic systems... for instance, some folks buy equipment that might be in the hydroponic section or even general garden merchandise. Organic supplements are a big sale item for AP folks from these stores. If I was you, I'd put a some sort of box for slips with contact information. Build your customer relationships and grow your customer base. Make it a prize or free something, who knows. Build relationships with these folks and you will have plenty of consulting business for years and years. Heck, maybe you'll have more than you want!

GOOD LUCK! POST PICS PLEASE!

Nice to hear. I am fortunate to have a HP distributor nearby that also does some retail - thus prices are quite reasonable. Plus, the folks are conscientious, helpful and only stock products that they believe are quality. I was their first AP customer, but now they have another - will have to make contact.

Hey Eddie, how about a name for these guys. Do they have a website? Kentucky is just 2 days away as the UPS flies.

Gotham Hydroponics at http://www.gothamhydroponics.com. they will also get anything that you are looking for, but is provided by one of their many suppliers. You just have to ask and wait for their next order.

Note that their website is much more limited than their actual selection.
