Groundhog Day 2013: No shadow for Punxsutawney Phil, so spring is around the corner
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/cap ... _blog.html (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/post/groundhog-day-2013-no-shadow-for-punxsutawney-phil-so-springsaround-the-corner/2013/02/02/34e6e620-6c9c-11e2-bd36-c0fe61a205f6_blog.html)

I had anticipated an early Spring this year. My plan is to transplant seedlings in a week. I intend to check the 10 day whether forecast and gamble on the probability of there being no frost (since it would be largely in my favor given the data). Anyway... all statistical data aside, THERE WAS NO SHADOW ON THE GROUNDHOG!

We just had a week or so, of the mid and upper 80's, I thought spring had already 'sprung'... :) Most of the flowers and bushes are thinking the same thing, seeing as how many are blooming.
Go for it, the odds seem prety good, here in central FL. You can always start some 'back ups'...just incase.... ;)
