This was added to another thread, so I thought I'd start me own.

Did you (most people) do the fishless cycle? How long from the day you put water in until the system is stable for fish? What comes first the fish or the plants. I had originally thought I would set up a hydroponics system and get it stable and then just add the fish. Good or bad idea? Thank you for the help!

Welcome to the forum.

I prefer starting with the fish. By the time you have sprouted you seeds in your sprouting trays the system should be cycled and Nitrates starting to build. You can transfer your sprouts into your grow beds at that time.

By the way. It is best to ask your questions in the appropriate area of the forum. This area is reserved for introducing yourself, as the title indicates "A PLACE TO SAY HELLO"

Oliver, I think Newbi6 introduced himself, by taging onto to someone elses 'hello' post.
He was starting to ask questions and I asked him to start his own thread.
"Backyard systems" may have been a better place to start this...?

I understood by Jackalopes discription, that this... Want To Know HOW TO..?
was more for sharing a succesful idea. Like sharing, step by step on how to build an improved bell siphon design.
But it looks like others have posted questions on How do I do...?
