Hey everyone. My wife and I are in the process of turning what was 6 acres of unproductive scrub pine (now cleared) in Beaverdam, Virginia into a productive permaculture-styled homestead. Thanks to Jack Spirko, we've been introduced to aquaponics and decided that it's certainly worth giving it our best shot as a feature on our land. We're starting out with the 3 gallon countertop setup and a larger seasonal outdoor system by this spring. I hope to have a greenhouse in place no later than next fall to hopefully setup some larger scale systems. I look forward to using this forum in my efforts to grow tons of veggies and raise tons of fish!

That sounds awesome. I always envy the posts I see of people with large acreage. I don't have much on my property and what I do have my wife doesn't want cluttered so I'm really stuck with a little nook on the side of my house haha.
