Well the only veggie still growing after a few good frosts is the kale.........the trout are still doing ok & feeding well but expect to harvest & shut the tank down by Xmas....the temps til then will be the deciding factor.....don't want to ruin my pump with a hard freeze....

Harvest will coincide with the pump going inside til spring.....then, just drop it back in & away we go again.....this year, the water cleared up in about 3 days after just a bit of debris was skimmed off....:)

Next year I'm planning to use straw bales for insulation around the raised beds & to plant with more veggies & flowers to improve the asthetics. I used a trellis for climbing vines this year...& found that pleasing to the eye as well

I'm in for the long haul......:)

I like to call it...."Seasonal aquaponics"
