Just thought I'd say hello before I go off to read and learn. I have recently stumbled on aquaponics as I have been doing research on how to be more self-sustainable. My wife and I just returned from spending the last 3 years in the philippines. We were growing tobacco, eggplant and ampalaya there. It was a great learning experience and I love to farm. I don't have the resources to farm here in MO, but aquaponics seems to be a fun alternative and something I can do during the winter months. I ask forgiveness in advance for all the silly questions I will ask in the near future. :) I know absolutely nothing about taking care of fish! I would also like to say thank you to all the people who have and continue to share their experience and knowledge here. We nubies are very grateful. Ok, off i go....
