I'm working as fast as I see one of these spam posts to both remove it and ban the author.

I don't know how to do anything more or if I have the ability here to do more.

This morning was very a busy one.

It is best if you don't reply to these posts so I can delete the whole thread without having to delete your reply.

Oliver,
Can you add a Captcha add in to the registration page. That might stop some of the illicit postings.

I am not familiar enough with this forum software to do that nor do I know if I have enough permission even if I did know.

I've also deleted, banned new members aka spammers, and banned their IP addresses, several time myself in the last few days....

I think I remember JCO said he used to look at their 'on-line name'...and he checked 'where' the IP address was comming 'from'. I think he was able to cut out alot of this 'stuff' before it even happened. Of course, he's pretty busy now a days.. :(

I've banned the last two digits of the IP, so far. They are coming from Latvia.
The latest spam IP was 46.109.204.76.
I have banned 46.109.*.*
Let's see what happens next.

I will look into this.

EDIT: I made one small change that may help. It's easier than reworking the whole system. If it doesn't help, we'll go from there.

So far, I've banned two domains, one in Latvia and one in Poland.

Along with the change that UrbanFarmer made, it looks for the time being anyways, that the spams have subsided.

I'll keep a close eye on it throughout the weekend.

In re-reading this thread, I want to acknowledge David for his work in banning domains as well. This was a team effort and we can hope that it continues to keep spammers at bay for a while.

I think that Oliver deserves a green colored name on the moderator list
